Intercept 10 goals at the same moment
According to Russian military sources, the maximum anti-ballistic missile interceptor in the S500 system will reach 600 km, while the maximum anti-missile interceptor missile will reach 500 km.The S500 system will feature the ability to monitor up to 10 hypersonic targets (i.e. flying at 5 km / s to 7 km / s) simultaneously. The system will be able to track and destroy ballistic missiles with a range of 3,500 km.
Mobile integrated system
The S500 will be mobile, with missile launchers installed on the back of a military SUV truck BAZ-69096 and 55K6MA.The S500 battery will include 77P6 launch vehicles mounted on the aforementioned trucks, while the 85Zh6-2 command and control points will be on the back of the BAZ-69092-12 six-wheel drive trucks.
The system will be equipped with a 91N6A (M) acquisition and battle management radar, which is a modification of the Big Bird 91N6, which is towed by a BAZ-6403.01 eight-wheel tractor.
The S500 missile system will include a Cheese Board 96L6 radar that will be installed on the back of a BAZ-69096 10x10 truck. A 76T6 multi-format radar will also be mounted on the eight-wheeled BAZ-6909-022 truck chassis.
